Star Trek Into Darkness beamed up $22 million at the U.S. box office on Friday, according to the trade publication Variety. That figure made Star Trek Into Darkness the nation's most popular movie on Friday and it brought the J.J. Abrams-directed sequel's tally to more than $25 million in the U.S.
