Patrick Stewart Narrates Journey to Space

Who better to narrate the new documentary titled Journey to Space than Sir Patrick Stewart? The esteemed actor, Star Trek: The Next Generation's Captain Picard, helps tell the story of a trip to Mars and details the efforts of NASA and the whole space community to make such a journey a reality in the very near future. The IMAX/giant-screen movie also celebrates the shuttle program and its impact on both the assembly of the International Space Station and scientists' understanding of how to live and work in space.

“It was a delight to contribute to this exciting film project,” Stewart said in a statement. ‘‘Journey to Space will let audiences young and old know how surprisingly close we are to sending humans into deep space.”

Journey to Space, presented by Toyota and Boeing, will have its world premiere at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. on March 6. The film will play in theaters across the globe, in both 2D and 3D, including at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Alabama and the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson.
