Testifying to Star Trek’s popularity internationally, Moulded Acrylic Products has just unveiled an array of new Star Trek collectibles that will be available at UK retailers later this year.  There are six sets of the laser-etched products, each with six individual pieces that depict different Star Trek ships, including the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, U.S.S. Voyager, a Klingon Bird of Prey, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D, a Klingon attack cruiser, and the space station Deep Space Nine.

Among the options are portrait plaques, landscape plaques, paperweights, a set of coasters, and two sets of encapsulated pewter models. One set of the pewter models is called “Captured in Space” and features the ships traversing the galaxy. Each piece comes with its own certificate of authenticity, a unique serial number and a presentation box.

“We believe we have brought to the market a high-quality, extensive range of items which will appeal to a wide audience of Star Trek fans, but also through our team of specially trained and skilled craftsmen a unique and extremely desirable Limited Edition range of encapsulations which should appeal to the avid collector,” says Alastair D. Seyler, Managing Director of Moulded Acrylic Products. “The essence of acrylic allows us to literally capture an item as though it is totally suspended without any means of support -- Captured in Space! And it is this that always fascinates the individual who wonders how on earth this has been made.”
