A Trek-Centric Guide To San Diego Comic-Con 2012
Comic-Con International 2012 is just around the corner, and Star Trek will be in the house in a big way when the fun begins on July 11. In fact, the CBS booth (#4129) and the booths of Star Trek licensees will be the places to be this year, with loads of Star Trek events, product introductions and, of course, free goodies, many celebrating the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation and the upcoming release of Star Trek: The Next Generation – Season One on Blu-ray.
Here are a few of the must-see and must-have items/events:
Exclusive for Comic-Con attendees, StarTrek.com will be giving away 1701 copies of a limited-edition Star Trek: The Next Generation 25th anniversary print at the CBS booth (#4129) throughout the show.
In addition to the anniversary print, Star Trek licensees will be distributing four Comic-Con-exclusive Star Trek collectible postcards, also celebrating the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Follow StarTrek.com on Twitter for times of anniversary print and locations of the collectible postcards.
The CBS booth will also have special Star Trek items for a few lucky fans, including Retro Image Apparel's just-introduced cycling jerseys, Star Trek beach towels from Robe Factory, Hallmark Star Trek ornaments and more.
Hasbro, which will introduce a line of KRE-O Star Trek building sets next year in support of the Star Trek sequel, will be at Booth #3213. Visitors to the booth will get their first-ever glimpse at the Star Trek/KRE-O characters; only the ships have been seen so far!
